Sara Comp

Sara has been a student of yoga since 2007, taking her first class through a community offering in her hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While in college, she worked at a local yoga studio in exchange for free classes. During this time, she began to deepen her love & connection to her practice the yogic lifestyle. While working as a nurse, she always found it comforting to balance out the stresses of work with the serenity of yoga. In 2015, she completed her 200-hour teacher training through Yandara Yoga Institute, where Sara learned the importance of "teaching from the heart", which for her, means always leading from a place of compassion and authenticity. In 2017, she moved to California and has expanded her education to include trauma-informed yoga and currently volunteers with Groundswell community project, a San Diego based nonprofit organization that provides surf therapy sessions at local beaches and internationally.

In Sara’s class, you can expect strong focus on using the breath to guide each movement and allowing the breath to support the space within each posture so that each student can take the time to explore their own unique capabilities. With a lighthearted sense of humor, her classes are uplifting and fun, set in a warm, welcoming & safe environment where every student can connect more deeply to themselves both on & off the mat.
