Having maintained a consistent yoga practice since 2017, Mary completed her 200hr teacher training certificate in 2019 and is actively working on earning her 500hr certification at MiraCosta College. Mary’s core experience is in the disciplines of Hatha/Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga.
Following a traumatic hip injury in 2013, Mary struggled for years with self-confidence in her physical pursuits. Having always enjoyed an active lifestyle, this injury became a major milestone in her life. A consistent practice within a caring yoga community, led by great instructors, quickly rehabilitated Mary’s mind and body. This positive experience became the motivation for Mary to begin her instructor training. As an instructor and a member of the local yoga community, she hopes to help others find a harmony of mind and body through the fundamental ideas of balance and alignment. Mary is passionate about creating a safe and welcoming environment in her classes for students of all levels, from all walks of life.
In her spare time, Mary enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including cycling, bodyboarding, hiking, scuba, camping, and triathlon, as well as photography and crafts. She currently lives in South Oceanside with her husband and two cats.
