Lex discovered yoga in 2004 in search of a holistic approach to anxiety. As she continued to practice both Vinyasa and Ashtanga, she noticed remarkable differences in her daily life and overall health. Most importantly, she found her breath; something she never really thought she had a hold of due to anxiety. When she found this connection, she was hooked. While linking breath to movement, the present moment was able to linger a bit longer, allowing longer pauses for peace and mindfulness. As a forever student, yoga is a constant teacher of awareness and mindfulness of self and others so we can all continue this journey with authenticity and compassion. Lex received her RYT 200 hr. Teacher training from Peace Love And Yoga in 2016. Lex loves sharing her passion for yoga, and all the benefits it has to offer to each person on an individual level. Her classes focus on the breath and challenging students to achieve their personal goals, in a fun and relaxed environment. She believes that there should be a level of humor to allow us to giggle at ourselves if we fall out of a pose, so we can go try it again and continue to grow!
When Lex is off her mat, she is a high school metalsmithing teacher and loves to hammer metal into strange objects and jewelry. She loves animals, and is a pit bull advocator with her partner in crime Shoga, her Pittie rescue.
