Yoga has been a consistent part of my life since 2006. Through yoga, I have enjoyed the experience of unity between mind, body and spirit, as well as how all energies play a connective role in the universe. To me, yoga is more than a workout, but also a work within.
In my teaching practice, I attempt to create an atmosphere where all individuals feel secure and confident within themselves. My teaching method is rooted primarily in a Hatha/Vinyasa background. Focusing on alignment and breath work with movement, I try creating a balance between effort and ease, all the while establishing strength in the body and stillness in the mind.
I have completed a restorative training this past year in order to aid those with limited mobility, injury, or for those who want to deepen their meditative practice. I incorporate breath work, visualization and themes associated with the principles of yoga within this style.
I am also furthering my education to reach more people who may have limited access to the more common forms of yoga. During the 2019 year, I also plan to complete trainings in Prenatal Yoga and Chair Yoga. Upon the completion of these two modules, I will also receive my 500 RYT certification.
