We will begin with a 30 minute pre-surf yoga "sesh" that will focus on the three commonly overused areas in surfers bodies - the shoulders, lower back and core. Candice will be leading you through a sequence of deep stretching poses to warm up the body specifically designed to activate, engage, and strengthen the core areas of the body needed for surfing.
Next, Courtney will teach you some of the basics of surfing on land before you head out into the water. Then we will put it all together and try to catch some waves!
Please bring your own long board, towel, (wetsuit and yoga mat optional) and ensure that you have finished eating at least one hour before the event. We will be meeting on the north side of the O-side pier at Surfrider Beach. We can’t wait to see you on the sand!
