We have started a tradition here at Black Sheep...every quarter of the year we celebrate the shift of the Equinox/Solstice by doing rounds of Surya Namaskar A's as a community to welcome in the new season and potential for true transformation. We are inviting all levels of yogis to join us once again this year in Buccaneer Beach park for a safe and socially distanced celebration.
In the Summer and Winter we practice 108 rounds & the in Spring and Fall we do 54. Child's pose and water breaks will be offered and everyone is welcome to practice at their own level. So come join your favorite "Good Vibe Tribe" teachers as they to lead you thru this challenging but accessible moving meditation (we stick to Sun A's only). Then plan to stay and head on over to Buccaneer Cafe for some great breakfast burritos + smoothies with your fellow yogis in community after.
We practice Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) as a way to express one's gratitude and indebtedness to the Sun, as it is the means to summon all the positivity and light energy in our lives. Consisting of 12 positions done sequentially one after another for 54/108 rounds brings benefit to the body, mind, and spirit. This practice will leave you feeling empowered and invigorated!
